Warmer weather is heading our way!  It’s been a tough winter for many people across the country.  With many of the COVID restrictions lifting, I know everyone is anxious to get outdoors, have family and friend gatherings, and just trying to get some “normal” behaviors back in our lives!  It’s refreshing to be able to look forward to life again!  But please remain vigilant in protecting yourself and staying safe.  We are not completely out of the woods just yet.  In that regard, check out our Medicine Cabinet for a wide variety of products to help keep you happy and healthy! 

Travel is another area of our lives that was highly restricted over the past year, However, these restrictions should be easing more and more as we edge into the summer months.  We have a very nice Weekender Tote Bag that has been drastically reduced in price.  Check it out! I know I am ready for a weekend away from home!

Last year March introduced the Pandemic into our lives and brought about a vast array of changes to our daily lives.  One year later, we are finally starting to see the “light at the end of the tunnel”.  Please continue to be vigilant and safe in protecting yourself and your loved ones. 

March has many special days and things to celebrate. We can use some happy times right now! The following was taken from a post by the Farmer’s Almanac.

MARCH CALENDAR

  • March 8 is International Women’s Day, which is a day that not only celebrates the achievements of women and the progress made toward women’s rights, but also brings attention to ongoing struggles for equality around the world.
  • March 14 is the start of Daylight Saving Time, which begins at 2:00 A.M. that day. If your area observes it, don’t forget to “spring forward” and set the clocks one hour ahead, or you may find yourself an hour late to everything! 
  • March 15 is the Ides of March! Legend surrounds this ill-fated day. Beware the Ides of March!
  • March 15 is also Clean Monday. Also called Pure Monday, this day marks the beginning of Great Lent for followers of the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church. This day is like Ash Wednesday of the Western Church.
  • March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day. According to folklore, folks wear a shamrock on St. Patrick’s Day because the saint used its three leaves to explain the Trinity. 
  • March 20 brings about the March equinox—also called the vernal or spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere—marking the beginning of spring. In the Southern Hemisphere, this date marks the autumnal equinox and the beginning of fall. On this day, the Sun stands directly over Earth’s equator.
  • March 27 is the start of Passover, which begins at sundown on this day. 
  • March 29-31 are known as the Borrowing Days. According to lore, the last three days of March have a reputation for being stormy.

I write this blog every month, but I don’t know that I have ever explained WHO we are!

We did it!  We made it through this crazy year of 2020!  We know it’s been a struggle for everyone, with some having it much worse than others.  Our thoughts and best wishes go out to all who have pushed through, overcome obstacles and made it through.  May 2021 bring you good health, peace, love and much happiness.

2021 brought struggles for businesses, as well as individuals.  We take great pride in offering our customers Unique Items At Affordable Prices and providing excellent service throughout the year.  Covid-19 brought many obstacles for us to overcome.  Fewer truck drivers on the roads, health concerns for our employees and staff slowed some fulfillment, shipping companies were overwhelmed and unable to deliver in the expedient manner we are used to offering.  We have literally had trailers full of orders ready to go, and the delivery services were unable to take them all in a day.  We hope that you received your orders on time and were happy with your purchases.  If you experienced any delays, or dissatisfaction, please know we are very sorry and would like to make it up to you.

There is a crisp feeling in the air, leaves are turning, all the signs that Thanksgiving is almost here!  Seems this year Thanksgiving will be a bit different for most of us.  I won’t be flying to visit family members in Florida, and I know a lot of you have had to curtail your normal holiday plans as well.  Holidays can be hard enough without having to face them alone! 

That is a good thought for us to remember!  When we are sad that we are missing our family and friends, we need to remember those unfortunate people who spend their holidays, and most all of their days – alone.  We might not be able to have a big gathering this year for the holiday, so how about we take a little of what we would have spent on that dinner, and help a local food bank.  Help support a local homeless shelter.  Donate to a Woman’s shelter.  

Many of you will still be hosting smaller, more intimate, get togethers over the holidays and we can help!  Dream Products.com has so many unique and affordable items to help you make this a joyous occasion, even if it is smaller than usual!  Check out our Housewares/Baking and Cooking category.  We have everything from cookware sets to small kitchen gadgets that help make life a little easier.

We are half-way through 2020 and what an unusual year it has been, to say the least! We, at Dream Products, are hoping you and your families are safe and well. We are also hoping that this holiday weekend can be a time to bring a little “normalcy” back to our lives and, while taking all recommended precautions, we are all able to see some family and friends!

So much of our days are filled with concerns and talk about everything happening in our world, so let’s take a couple minutes to do two things.

  1. Be Grateful. Be grateful for all the good that you have in your life. Be grateful for all the people you love and who love you. Be grateful for your health, your job, your home, your car, so many things we take for granted, but many others in this world would love to have.
  2. Laugh! They say laughter is the best medicine and I couldn’t agree more. They’ve shown that when you are sad, if you force yourself to laugh, it releases “happy” endorphins into your body, and you do feel better physically. So, here are a couple corny jokes to help bring that pain down:
    • What do you call a lazy kangaroo? A Pouch Potato!
