Sounds cliché, but wow this year is going fast! Can’t believe it’s August already! This has been the craziest year I think any of us have experienced, but we are getting through it, and we hope that you and your family are as well.

We are half-way through 2020 and what an unusual year it has been, to say the least! We, at Dream Products, are hoping you and your families are safe and well. We are also hoping that this holiday weekend can be a time to bring a little “normalcy” back to our lives and, while taking all recommended precautions, we are all able to see some family and friends!

So much of our days are filled with concerns and talk about everything happening in our world, so let’s take a couple minutes to do two things.

  1. Be Grateful. Be grateful for all the good that you have in your life. Be grateful for all the people you love and who love you. Be grateful for your health, your job, your home, your car, so many things we take for granted, but many others in this world would love to have.
  2. Laugh! They say laughter is the best medicine and I couldn’t agree more. They’ve shown that when you are sad, if you force yourself to laugh, it releases “happy” endorphins into your body, and you do feel better physically. So, here are a couple corny jokes to help bring that pain down:
    • What do you call a lazy kangaroo? A Pouch Potato!
    • How do you fix a broken tomato? With Tomato Paste!
    • What kind of dog doesn’t bark? A Hush Puppy!
    • Where do insect’s shop? A Flea Market!
    • What do dentists call their x-rays? Tooth-Pics!

I never thought we would see the day in this country when we would be facing the trials and tribulations so many people are facing right now! Home isolation, social distancing, people out of work, the horrible loss of life……so much tragedy for so many. But in my heart of hearts, I do believe this is the strongest, greatest country in the world and we WILL get through this and we will do TOGETHER!

While we are home and trying to keep ourselves as healthy as possible, remember the basics! Drink lots of water! Get your exercise in. Take a walk, workout in your back yard or living room. Have friends join you on our various technologies so you can still workout “together”. Stay in touch with family and friends. While isolating, people can very easily become depressed. Reach out. Talk to each other. Help each other. That’s why we are here!

This proverb has long been aligned with the month of March. When March begins it is still winter (lion), but by the end of the month, spring has begun (lamb). We’ve had quite the “lion” of a winter this year and I know, I for one, am looking so forward to the beginning of spring when new life begins to blossom everywhere!

March 8th is also the beginning of Daylight Savings Time (for all the states that still do the change). Don’t forget to change your clocks to gain another hour of sunlight! Love those late evening sunsets!

So you get an extra day this month! What are you going to do with it? We all seem to run so short of time in our busy daily lives, how can we take advantage of being given an extra day? My “go to” is always try to reach out to someone who could use a friend. A helping hand. A kind smile. Why not use your extra day to bring joy to someone else? We all can make a difference in someone else’s life with a simple kind gesture. Put forth joy and it will return to you!

There are some interesting holidays in the month of February, whether it’s a leap year or not! So, what do we think that ol’ Groundhog is going to do this February 2nd on Groundhogs Day? Fun little tradition, with no real facts to support the superstition, but regardless that little guy gets a lot of attention on this date. I’m ready for Spring, so hoping Phil sees his shadow this year!
